"Progress on Ferguson ward (now Ashby)"

About: Locked & Specialist Rehab / Ashby Ward

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

The recent CQC report didn't bother me as having met most of the staff and seeing how my relative is handled, I am happy and have no concerns. I do feel that my relative is more respected at St Andrew's than anywhere else. There is a sensible approach there to how long treatment might take and he is given options about how to deal with his frustrations, rather than being immediately sedated and restrained as in other placements previously. We have seen him make progress and improvement in how he is handling his frustration and it is nice to be able to feed this back.

Thank you very much for your positive feedback, which has been shared with the relevant clinical team. It is really encouraging to hear about your experience of St Andrew’s and the progress that you described for your relative whilst on Ashby ward. We would welcome any further feedback in future to help shape our service and would like to thank you again.
