About: Wathwood Hospital

(as a service user),

I do have a care plan but I don't have a copy of it.

My CPA is coming up in August though I haven't been given the date yet. I'm not really sure what my care plan entails.

I have a named nurse but I tend to bottle up my emotions and talk about them with my nurse afterwards. I feel cared for by my nurse. She listens to me.

I've not felt bullied at Wathwood. When unwell I can feel intimidated. I'd like more ground leave as I had previously in rehab.

Talking with the professionals makes me feel happy - when I am embarking on a two way conversation. The give and take is important.

Thank you for your feedback. I hope that your CPA went well - you mention that it was in August so there seems to have been a gap in receiving this posting so apologies for the delayed response.

It is good to hear that you enjoy talking with staff and it is also good to hear that you have not felt bullied at Wathwood.

Working in collaboration with service users is a priority at Wathwood so it is encouraging to hear that you have a care plan but you are entitled to have your own copy should you wish. All patients should be offered a copy of their care plan and your feedback has been raised with our Ward Managers to ensure that this practice is maintained throughout the hospital. Please feel free to approach me, Rick Fuller General Manager or your Ward Manager should you wish to discuss this further.

Regarding having leave in the grounds, I would encourage you to discuss this with your clinical team as they are the best people to work with you on this issue.
