I have completed a 6 week course in CBT for my anxiety and panic attacks.
The course has really helped me with my anxiety and also in several other aspects of my life such as my depression, self esteem and confidence.
I have tried CBT before for my depression but with a negative result. This time however, I was paired up with Laurence. While initially being sceptical with the thought of trying CBT again and at having a wellbeing practitioner that was a young guy, I quickly began to change my mind. I have lots of trouble with other people understanding me, I end up rambling and getting more tongue-tied, it wasn't like that this time. Not only did he seem to understand me but he was able to ask the questions to make me open up even more. Throughout the course I was able to recognise my patterns of behaviour that lead to the way I feel and I have been correcting them which has had a big impact on my day to day life. It is now six weeks since my last session, I have only had one anxiety attack and only two days where my anxiety has risen past 'normal'.
