"Went the extra mile"

Recently 5 day admission for surgery at Ward 10 and 9 Woodend hospital Aberdeen.

From admission to discharge the staff showed compassion and professionalism.

The complete team headed by Mr Ledingham including theatre staff Ward staff Physio and Occupational therapists cleaning and portering staff all provided a very safe and supported environment for my surgery and immediate post op recovery. I am very grateful.

I would particular like to mention Lizi from night shift and Jackie from day shift who went the extra mile to ensure I was comfortable.

We are delighted to hear that you were treated with compassion and professionalism during you recent admission. It is reassuring to hear that you felt safe and well supported within the ward environment.

Staff within wards 9 and 10 all work very hard to deliver person centerd care and this is clearly shown from your response. I will pass on your compliment to Mr Ledingham and all the team you have mentioned from the porters, cleaners, theatre staff, physio and occupational therapists.

Lizi and Jackie will be thrilled and touched by your kind words about going that extra mile to make sure you were comfotable.

Once again thank you very much for such a positive and uplifting story that demonstrates clearly we have a cohesive and strong multidiscplinary team delivering person centered care.
