Dear Mattyb

Thank you for sharing your feedback on this site.

I think it is important that patients get medicines in the best way for them so it is great that you have told us what you would prefer.

We have discussed this with our Lead Pharmacist. It is possible to provide children with morphine tablets but only some of the time. Sometimes we can't do this because the tablets have more morphine in them than you need and this would not be safe. Other times it may be okay.

Can I suggest that if you need to have morphine again that you ask the nurse or doctor if you can have tablets instead of liquid and if they say no then ask them why not. Hopefully they will be able to explain if this is possible or not.

If you are still unhappy with this then perhaps your parent or guardian and you could ask to speak with the doctor about this.

Please feel free to post on here if you the issue comes up again and you still feel unhappy about it.

I hope you are doing ok at this time

Best wishes

Pam
