"they treated me and our family as if we were the only ones visiting"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Cardiology (Heart Conditions) Wards 6c & 6d

(as a relative),

My husband recently spent five nights in ward 6c. Of the QEUH. He was immediately impressed by the level of care and attention he recieved from the doctors, nurses, and all the rest of staff.

When I visited every day he spoke of how attentive everyone was. I was kept informed of how he was from, the smallest ailment to the seriousness of his illness by the Staff nurses and doctors, they treated me and our family as if we were the only ones visiting a sick relative in hospital.

Mostly to have the best medical team for heart failure was reassuring to me, when I was so worried. Well cannot fault the care we got, both as a payient and a relative.

Dear PeggyWan

Thank you for taking the time to post on Care Opinion. I am so pleased to read about the level of care your husband received in Ward 6C in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and also how well you and your family were treated by our staff. Often when a loved one is in hospital being kept up to date with their care by our medical staff can provide reassurance and comfort at a worrying time. What you have described here is the care we aim to provide to all of our patients and carers.

I will ensure that your kind words are shared with the staff in Ward 6C. They will be delighted to receive your feedback.

I hope that your husband is now doing well at home.

Best wishes
Lisa
