I live in West Lothian; I was to have a Flexible Sigmoidoscopy ( a look at my Colon, internally), and was advised by Lothian Appointments that my best bet for a quick appointment was to go to Queen Margaret Hosp. in Dunfermline, as the choices in Lothian were unavailable for quite a while. So I agreed.
We found the place fairly easily, and were pleased with the info about getting there and where best to park; all very easy. The hospital was impressive - clean. light, airy, and the staff were really friendly and generally nice. I'd certainly be happy to go back, if necessary.
One complaint only; I was cleared for action - checked in, into gown, etc. , by 14. 30hrs. I was still waiting at 16. 10, and had to buzz the staff to find out if all was well. The lady who responded explained that anything could happen to hold up the queue, and why, and how. Fair enough, but perhaps they could be aware of the times that patients were waiting, and get to us before we have to approach them.
