"Breast Cancer: The staff were exemplary."

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Clinical Oncology

(as a service user),

The consultants and nursing staff were exemplary. They informed me about my operation and the way ahead after surgery. I cannot praise the NHS highly enough, and feel so lucky we have this excellent service at our fingertips. The only downside for he was having to wait in the ward for over 5 hours before my operation, perhaps some nice piped music would have helped relax me as I didn't take my own with me. Apart from that I have no complaints and appreciate the skill and dedication surgeons and all their teams do for those in need

Dear Jazzcat

Thank you for your post in Care Opinion, it is great to read that you felt the staff were exemplary, and that you were kept informed throughout your stay, we are lucky to have this service at our fingertips and using Care Opinion is helping the staff to maintain a great service. We have patient radios available in the ward, and a patient sitting room where patients can sit to pass the time. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will be mindful of patients who have to wait that bit longer for their surgery and can suggest these options to them.

I will share your comments with all the staff involved with your care, and hope your recovery is going well

Nola
