"What about us who don’t want to play football?"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as the patient),

Can you ask Staff to stop lying to us for example promising to put GOLD on the TV and then not. Patients find it hard to trust Staff especially when we are being lied too.

Can I ask why in the Woman’s service they get everything first? EG. They have had some bikes for a Year I think. Why can’t males have bikes and ride around the LD buildings until we get our own bikes?

Can I say some patients have been offered a bowling green, but it never got built all they seem to do is make more football facilities for the younger Patients, what about us older ones who don’t want to play football?

Rampton Hospital is planning to offer GOLD channel as an optional subscription channel. Most of the work has been completed and although it is on the list it is not yet available. As soon as it Is actually working this will communicated via the Patient’s Council and other communication channels such as Directorate and ward meetings as well as leaflets.

As you are aware they have been a lot of building around where your ward is located. Old buildings being demolished and/or refurbished and making way to new buildings. The Health and Fitness Department has developed and invited patients and ward based staff to the West Villa Project. The purpose of this project is to produce a patient centred, recovery focused activity programme. I have therefore forwarded your requests for a cycling/ running track and a bowling to members of that project. I am delighted to inform you that I have already received a response that both the cycle/running track and the bowling green have been highlighted as a priority. You and your colleagues have also been invited to join the working party to support the planning and delivery of the programme and to ensure that your views have been heard.

If you would like to know more about this opportunity please contact either the ward manager or the Health and Fitness Manager. You can also look out for updates on the West Villa project on the Distributed TV system.

Thank you

Thanks
