As a result of two accidents and two hospitalisations my 85 year old aunt needed care provided by the Stars team connected with the Dumfries and Galloway Hospital. Circumstances led to this team being required to provide care longer than originally intended.
I live 190 miles away and can only visit on a limited basis.
Throughout the care period this team have proved a model of true professionalism. The carers themselves were approachable and understanding. I was regularly informed regarding any issues and overall situation concerning my aunt. The office staff were brilliant in dealing with my phone calls and inquiries. When I did visit my aunt there was plenty of information available for me to read to follow what was happening.
One hears of scare stories concerning care of the elderly, therefore it is very reassuring to find there is so much good being done out there. Well done Stars team and sincere thanks.
