At the end of July had breast surgery, after a short stay in hospital, I was discharged with advice from a breast care nurse and a following breast surgery booklet, to go to my local minor injuries clinic at the Sheppey communtiy hospital, for a change of dressing in 10days, I phoned the hospital and they told me to come in after 10days for the check which I did and they booked me in for the check at reception, but when I got to see the nurse she told me in no uncertain terms several times that I should have gone to my G. P. I felt a little put out as I had done what I was asked to and now wonder if I was given the right information or was this just NHS politics.
I was very impressed with my treatment at the Medway Hospital all the Medical staff were brilliant as was the Breast care Unit
