My granddaughter was sent by her GP to the hospital eye clinic for a severe eye infection after a nearly 2hrs waiting when finally seen by the eye specialist it was rushed through appointment and medication prescribed to be used 3 times a day!
Well! after only 4 days her eyes were getting worse and in one eye a lump appeared, So, the hospital eye clinic was called again and yesterday 5 days after her appointment there. My granddaughter was seen by a doctor who said the treatment prescribed at the previous appointment was for someone about to have eye surgery?Instead she needs to be using the treatment prescribed for (Conjunctivitis) by her GP.
We are so very concerned for my granddaughter's eyes now and hope the last 4 days has not damaged her eyes any further as she loves reading and swimming and is looking forwarded to her holiday in a couple of weeks.
ONE VERY CONCERNED FAMILY!
We hope East Surrey Hospital makes sure all doctors know how to take care of children's health!
