"The excellent care I received"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Adult Physiotherapy Services

(as the patient),

I would like to share my good news story as the NHS gets some bad press as we all do at times and as patients we don't always tell the good news stories.

I had a particularly bad accident last November breaking my numerous bone in three places. After being admisnitered morphine prior to being admitted to a hospital in Cumbria where the accident happened I got home unable to walk upstairs as I was in so much pain and nearly passing out again. Long story short I was referred to Elif for Physio. I was still in horrendous pain three weeks later and nearly passed out again Elif recognised my pale face and immediately stopped what she was doing and got me some cold water. Elif thought it best I had a few weeks to recover before starting Physio. Throughout my rehab she has been amazing and we have had several hurdles during my recovery sometimes one step forward and e steps back. Elif is so supportive and positive giving me achievable goals so together we are nearly there.

Hand on heart I could have reached this far without her help and support and wanted to thank her with all my heart.

Kindest regards

Dear PMTH

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your accident and subsequent journey through rehabilitation. It sounds tough! It was great to hear that Elif has been able to support you and has worked with you to achieve realistic goals. Your post has been shared with Elif and the wider team, who were delighted to receive your comments. We are now looking to get them set up with their own responding rights on Care Opinion so they can respond directly in future.

Wishing you well

Louise

Update posted by PMTH (the patient)

Dear Louise,

Thank you for taking the time to reply as I do appreciate how busy you all are.

Working within the health & Social Care Partnership myself I know how quick people are to put a letter of complaint in yet they don't always let us know about the good practice.

Kindest regards
