"My named nurse helped me in a therapeutic way"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as the patient),

My named nurse is helping me and keeps me involved in my care plan. My named nurse helped me in a therapeutic way, I also have a befriender, my named nurse helped me get this.

Sadly I have felt bullied here from time to time and lots of name calling which is upsetting not just for me but the others. I want you to know that the food could be better, I think the menu hasn’t really changed. The quality could be much better and it does’ not look like the photos. I think there could be more Staff here and getting off the ward to do activities could be better. Phoning my family makes me happy and my advocate makes me happy.

Hi there,

Thanks for the honest posting, these are always helpful to change things ofr the better for you. I'm really glad you have a named nurse that you have a good therapeutic relationship with and now a befriended, thats really good.

Bullying appears to be something that alot of patients are reporting and some of this appears to be a difficulty in living with your peers and how challenging this is. We have listened to you and we are doing some training in September to support you all to live together and consider how thins makes you feel.

I hope this will help you wth some skills for the future

regards
