"Website information not matching what the hospital say"

On trying to find some urgent advice to do with an acute situation of mental health assessment and support needs, the website says that you can ring A&E and ask to speak to the crisis resolution team. But on ringing A&E, the advice is that they don't have a CRT anymore and didn't give any advice to assist on what to do. Several parts of the website for MH service emergency support for Sheffield state this and it wasn't possible to get that that support and left the family feeling very unsupported and at breaking point during a very difficult acute phase. The website needs to be updated immediately or if that is the right information the receptionist/staff need to have information updated so that anyone calling can get the immediate help they need or be signposted to the right place

We fully appreciate that having access to accurate information in such a situation is vitally important. We have reviewed the crisis information on our website and can find no mention of any advice which advises people to ring A&E and ask to speak to the crisis resolution team. Our information about how to access support in a crisis is here: https://shsc.nhs.uk/need-help/need-help-in-a-crisis/ We will, however, be reviewing and simplifying the information on this page in the light of your feedback.

It sounds as though there is incorrect information on other websites about how to access mental health support in Sheffield. If you can let us know which website contains the information about ‘ringing A&E and asking to speak to the crisis resolution team’ we will contact them and ask for the information to be corrected.
