"Poor triage process on arrival"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary / Accident and emergency

After my husband sustained a second degree burn to his foot we went straight to A&E. I am accustom to a lot of A&E receptions due to my line of work however Doncasters came at bit of a surprise!

1. You have to que for an Assesment/triage/get registered ?!?

Since when do you have to wait over an hour in a que before signing in at reception?

How do you know if someone is having a heart attack or sever concussion?

On arrival we were greeted with a receptionist telling us to join the back of a que! We stood for over an hour before giving our name and injury! A poorly gentleman in front of us fell to his knees due to this! It's outrageous.

2.The reception itself is severely under equipped with signs apologising for the lack of chairs. Parents and elderly sat on the floor or stood for hours.

Not pleasant in an already unpleasant circumstance.
