"I was also particularly impressed with the tidiness and cleanliness"

About: Royal Albert Edward Infirmary / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I wish to record my sincere appreciation for the kind, professional and helpful way in which my angiogram was carried out in the cardiac catheter lab yesterday. The procedure, was carried out in a manner which put me at ease and I was impressed with the pleasant and reassuring manner in which I was treated. I was also particularly impressed with the tidiness and cleanliness that I observed throughout the building. My only minor, but I hope constructive, criticism, was that being unfamiliar with the Infirmary, it was not immediate obvious from the car park, where the entrance was. I could not see a specific notice indicating this.

Please pass on my sincere thanks to all the staff concerned

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments following your angiogram here at Royal Albert Edward Infirmary. I will forward this to the Head of Nursing for Scheduled Care and the Cardiology team to share with the staff.

As a Trust we are proud of the cleanliness of our hospitals and have won awards for being the cleanest hospital in the country so I will share your posting with the Facilities Manager to let the team know of your observations.

I can appreciate the confusion in relation to the entrance as the site does have two entrances however we do have a volunteers help desk at each entrance to assist our visitors, nevertheless I will pass your comment to the Estates team for their information with regard to signage.

Kind regards

I have jsut been advised by the Facilities Manager that he currently has 2 patient volunteers assessing the sites for signage and will make adjustments to the signage as required.

Kind regards
