"Impressed overall"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Combined Assessment Unit (CAU)

(as the patient),

My experience made me want to share it with others.I had tests for a possible heart attack and clot on lungs.  The information on time taken to get results to the tests was not great, but I felt attended to and was impressed overall.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear slicer,

Thank you for taking time to tell us how you found your care in Ayr, CAU. I am glad it was ok overall and you felt cared for but I am sorry you felt the results information was not the best possible. I will feed this back to the service, I know the staff will be very keen to take your comment on board. This is a relatively new and developing service so it makes feedback such as this really helpful.

I hope your test results were better than the information about them and you are now well.

best wishes,

Eunice

Dear slicer,

The charge nurse in CAU would like to look into this to understand what happened. If you would like to contact by email - Eunice.goodwin@aapct.scot.nhs.uk or by calling me on 01563 826222 we can look into this for you. If we can identify what happened and make any changes if possible. it may help prevent this at a future time.

best wishes

Eunice
