"Outstanding Care and support"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I am writing to you to thank you and your staff in Ward 3, Dr Grays Hospital Elgin for your amazing help support and encouragement of myself and my wife during the pre-natal, birth and post-natal care we have received. Our twins were born and are a joy to the world, safely cared for and delivered by your staff. I simply cannot thank you enough for how well we were looked after as a family, with so many complications, it has made a scary time all the more bearable thanks to your amazing team.

Some of the staff, although all were very very good, that I think are worth a special mention are:

Diane (the midwife on duty during the final stages of labour and C section)

Fiona (the midwife who gave us so many hours of care, patience and kindness – especially teaching us how to swaddle, bath and look after our twins)

Sharon (the midwife who was a great support during then time Robert was in SCBU

Carol (the auxiliary nurse who was every so kind in making me as the partner cups of tea, hugs and general support at such a scary and monumental time in my life)

The nurses on your ward are a credit to you and indeed to the NHS. I am utterly proud writing like this to be a UK taxpayer and even more proud that my wife and children had such outstanding care and support, under your guidance, whilst in Dr Grays. Please do pass this message of complete and utter satisfaction and thanks to your senior leadership team within the NHS Scotland and allow due praise to be showered upon your staff in Dr Grays – they do such a sterling job and I am proud and delighted that my children were born into such a strong team in your ward. I am also very happy to extend this positive testimonial to any of your top CEO’s or provide more details of our experience in Dr Grays as one of the ‘success stories’ in the NHS in recent times.

A very warm, sincere and humble thank you from myself and all our family.

Very best wishes, thank you once again.

Dear Keys

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and taking the time when you must be so busy with your new babies. It's brilliant to hear that you had such a positive experience throughout your pregnancy, labour and after the birth of your babies in Ward 3 at Dr Grays. Pregnancy and birth can be a scary time even when there are no complications so it's great to hear that the teams calm and caring approach made you feel reassured and safe throughout, even with complications. I will be sure to pass on your comments to the whole team.

Congratulations on your new arrivals, and best wishes to you and your family.
