"Fantastic experience"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I had a Day Surgery in Queen Margaret, which happened to be my first hospital experience. Hearing all kinds of horror stories from my home country I was a bit scared, but this hospital reminded me more of a hotel than a hospital. Nice and caring staff, constant supervision, multiple meals, all of which were simple, but perfectly done. The only thing I could complain about is that the blinds on the windows don't really do their job, and that the water leaked into the bedroom under the bathroom door.

Dear mngs

Thank you for taking the time to post about your first hospital experience through Care Opinion. The staff work hard to make sure patient's individual care needs are met. I will make sure the staff in the ward and the catering department are made aware of your feedback. I hope this has made you less scared for any future visit's.

I will also make sure the blinds are checked and they are doing their job.

The estates department support the wards with any issues such as drainage and they intervene as required, and sometimes issues can be resolved at ward level.

Prompted by your post, the staff plan to introduce a patient leaflet of useful information to assist patient's who are required to stay in hospital.

I hope your recovery is going well

Nola
