"Fantastic staff"

About: Good Hope Hospital / Radiology

Today my 1 year old needed a nuclear scan. I arrived at 8: 00 to the Harvey Ward who inserted the canular with little difficulty making it a lot less distressing for me to watch as he was very upset. The staff tried hard to keep him happy. Then in the x-ray department I can not thank the staff there enough. They saw us early, inserting the dye early. Both members (1 male and 1 female) explained the whole process. I was then sent away to pass the time before his scan. The female member then came to find me in the cafe to tell me he could be scanned earlier than expected too. During the scan they chatted to both myself and my son making it a lovely experience. I genuinely can not thank them all enough.

Also I spoke to several volunteers, one showing me towards the cafe, chatting to me about my son. I was told if I needed anything further not to hesitate to ask.

An amazing hospital!

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments, following your child’s nuclear scan earlier this year, at Good Hope Hospital.

I am so pleased to read that the staff were able to make the experience less distressing; as I appreciate it can be a very worrying and anxious time, when your child is having to go undergo tests and be in unfamiliar surroundings.

Our staff are truly wonderful and it is lovely for them to receive the recognition for their hard work and dedication to the service.

I will be delighted to ensure that your feedback is highlighted to the senior management teams.
