"Arnold Lodge involvement training today"

About: Arnold Lodge Regional Secure Unit

(as a volunteer/advocate),

We looked at how meetings run and how to encourage the service users to have a voice and feel confident enough to challenge discisions in a professional productive way.

The Patients suggested how they would collect issues from the wards and feedback.

We felt it important to make sure that everyone attending forums are not overlooked and get the chance to speak up, reviewing how to Chair the meeting was helpful for this.

The group were very interested in a new Action plan for the Patients meeting which is RAG rated ( red amber green) to be used in addition to meeting minutes. This format is used well at Rampton. Advocacy will be looking into this. This is a useful tool to track changes and dates

Could you updated us on this and if you are going to make a change and use this RAG system

Thank you for attending the session and contributing to the day. Some excellent ideas were generated that will help make the new forum format more efficient and meaningful to patients. We shall add RAG rating action plan to the agenda for further discussion with the wider group on the 15th of June.
