I was admitted to Raigmore via A&E with an asthma attack, which a few days later was diagnosed as whooping cough - who would have thought!
At the time of writing this, I've been back to Ward 7A four times complements of the whooping cough.
The staff have been incredible. Compassionate, professional, supportive, humourous when needed/ appropriate. They've put up with long days, long nights, incredibly abusive patients and still they smile and do their best to make sure you, the patient, receive the best support possible so that you can get home as quickly and safely as possible.
I can't the staff on Ward 7A enough. Please keep smiling, keep doing what you do. Even if some days it doesn't feel like it, you are making a massive positive difference to vulnerable/ fragile/ scared/ lonely patients.
I can't speak for all of the other patients, but I can thank you from the bottom of my heart for incredible job you do.
THANK YOU
"Incredible staff and Excellent Support - Unsung Heros"
