"The radiographer had an excellent approach"

About: West Scotland Breast Screening Centre

(as the patient),

Arrived at WoS Breast Screening Services this morning very anxious, and was immediately calmed by the pleasant welcome at reception, enjoyed a comforting hot chocolate (free) in the waiting lounge. The staff in general were professional and friendly, and in particular the radiographer had an excellent approach which again calmed me down. I then had the outcome explained clearly and professionally. Very helpful staff, comforting environment. Thank you for providing such an effective and professional service. Our NHS is outstanding.

Dear Yak63

Thank you for taking the time to post on Care Opinion. I understand why you would have felt very anxious at having to attend the West of Scotland Breast Screening Centre, so I am pleased to read about how our staff helped to alleviate your anxiety when visiting for treatment. I am also pleased to read that everything was explained to you clearly. Our aim is that all of our patients feel that way.

I will share your kind words with the service. They will be delighted to receive your feedback.

Best wishes
Lisa

Dear Yak63

It is always nice to have feedback from patients when attending for tests particularly at a time when they are very anxious. I will pass this onto the staff who have worked well as a team to make this a positive experience.

Kind regards
Lynn Ross, General Manager, Diagnostics
