"Treated with care throughout"

About: New Cross Hospital / Accident and emergency New Cross Hospital / Gastroenterology West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

Called ambulance arrived with 10 mins.

On arrival at Wolverhampton New Cross A&E immediately assessed and moved to a cubical. Bloods taken and initial diagnosis of gall stones!

Treated with care throughout and eventually moved to Gastroenterology at New Cross hospital.

Excellent service through the 7 days, all of the staff from Doctors to cleaners were generally cheerful and seemed to be enjoying their work.

Attention to detail was very acceptable.

My only issues were...

1. Delay in obtaining a ultrascan which took over 3 days.

2. The machines that deliver intravenous medication always took ages to be turned off. The staff seemed to be oblivious to the most annoying continuous beeping. Whilst appreciating that staff are busy the noise is most annoying as a patient trying to recover or treated.

Overall - Excellent
