Overall a positive experience – pleased to have had it and grateful to get any support.

I think the techniques Laura and I went through were helpful and beneficial for me but I’m not sure they did much to get to the root of my problem – they have helped me get through the day to day and keeping busy is a good thing but won’t be enough to deal with my depression long term.

Laura was great – I feel like she really listened to me and did as much as she could in the time given (and went beyond our official time which I was grateful for) but fundamentally the time allowed wasn’t enough – I found half an hour much too short. It felt Like I’d just got into the flow of speaking when the session was over. Fewer but longer sessions might have been better for me.

Thank you for taking the time to give us this feedback, both the positive and the more constructive. I will ensure that this feedback is passed on to Laura.

In terms of the length of the sessions not being long enough, Laura works using a particular therapeutic model with an evidence base for briefer sessions. This approach isn't right for everyone (although I am glad you found aspects of it helpful) and I hope that you were able to give this feedback to Laura. Accordingly, I hope that you were able to think with Laura about potential support that could offer a bit more time in the appointment that might be available to you going forward.
