What I liked

Very clean, very easy to navigate. The staff were very friendly and treated me like an intelligent person rather than a number (which has not been my experience in other hosiptals). They did their best to work around my working day and thereby minimise disruption to my work. All appreciated.

What could be improved

Car parking charges are steep. £3.20 for an hour and a half and about half an hour of that was waiting time, which was therefore frustrating. I can afford it, but I can see why some people might struggle.

Anything else?

My prenatal care is being carried out at Queen Mary's, which is why I am regularly attending. The fact that it is a small hospital means that it is much friendlier and better organised than its larger counterparts. logo

I've passed your comments on to our prenatal care staff, who always enjoy receiving such kind words.

I’m sorry that you had to wait for half an hour before your appointment. We’re always trying to reduce our waiting times, and hope that your next appointment will be more punctual.

By charging for our parking, it helps us to maintain the car park, a CCTV system to look after everyone’s cars, and provide maintenance outside the hospital. It also allows us to have a large car park, so there are usually enough spaces for our patients.

If anyone has any difficulty paying for travel to Queen Mary’s (such as pensioners or people on low incomes) then they can receive help with these costs. For more details on the support that is available, you can visit the website below (simply copy and paste it into your web browser).

I've also noticed (from your ratings) that you thought that the area where you were treated was a little untidy - I've passed this on to our Matron, who will look into this immediately.
