"Wonderful care at Surgical Receiving"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / General surgery (Wards 9a, 9b, 9c & 9d)

(as the patient),

I was admitted to Surgical Receiving via my GP.

From start to finish every staff member including receptionist, porters, nursing and medical staff, was courteous, friendly and professional, despite being obviously very busy.

I was taken to theatre out of hours and was made to feel comfortable and

at ease before and after the procedure.

I cannot praise the whole team highly enough.

I work in a small team within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Part of the team’s role is to support patients and carers through our feedback systems which will help to improve the services we provide. On Patient Opinion, I support Lorna Gray, Patient Experience Public Involvement Project Manager, and Niall McGrogan, Head of Patient Experience Public Involvement.

Dear Chinadoll

Thank you for taking the time to post on Patient Opinion. It is lovely to read how you feel about the care you received at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, especially that you were made to feel at ease before and after surgery.

I will pass on your kind words to the staff you have mentioned. They will be delighted to receive your feedback.

I hope you are now recovering well at home.

Best wishes
Lisa
