"Getting help with looking after my mother"

About: Leeds / Leeds Social Services

(as a carer),

I phoned social services to find out if I could get a night sitter for my mother. Only to be told by the social worker had I thought about moving out or putting my mother in a care home. I found this totally unprofessional for some social worker to tell me what I should do I was only asking if there was any chance of getting someone. I don't need a social worker to ask me to move out or to put my mother in a home, I don't think they have the right to even ask them kind of questions, they are there to provide a service for me and the people of Leeds. I would not like to think that this person was telling everyone the same thing.

I'm totally discussed with their attitude and the totally lack of care that this person had.
