Excellent treatment throughout, pre op appointment was prompt with very helpful and pleasant staff. , plenty of information and a comprehensive booklet supplied. Admittance to ward 6 two weeks ago went without a hitch, very pleasant 4 person ward. Seen by consultant late afternnoon told time of operation the following day. Ward staff very kind and pleasant despite a very high workload. Taken down to pre op surgery ward following morning, again excellent staff attitude, nothing too much trouble. Operation carried out, woke up in recovery room, feeling reasonable despite it being major surgery, then taken back up to ward 6, fed the evening meal and then had a reasonable nights sleep thanks to the very attentive night staff. Following day was a bad day, I felt rotten looked very ill according to fellow patients, but still attempted to carry out the exercises for the physio and getting out of bed to get the new joint moving. Thursday was a good day, all exercises went well, Friday was also good and I was told I would be out on Saturday morning which I was. I feel 5 days in hospital for a knee replacement for excellent and I sincerely thank all the staff at Dr Grays, the consultant and anaesthetist and all theatre staff, all ward 6 staff nursing and otherwise plus the various other including the pharmacy staff, thank you very much.
