"There's never any follow up"

About: Shawpark Resource Centre

(as the patient),

The one thing I have noticed about Shawpark is there's never any follow up. Every time I have been in A&E with MH related issues, whether that be overdose or suicidal feelings, they never call me back to arrange an appointment with a CPN or Psychiatrist to check how things are going and to see what can be done to help.

It feels like they don't care - if I knew someone personally who had been in hospital with said issues I'd be worried sick.

I work in a small team within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Part of the team’s role is to support patients and carers through our feedback systems which will help to improve the services we provide. On Patient Opinion, I support Lorna Gray, Patient Experience Public Involvement Project Manager, and Niall McGrogan, Head of Patient Experience Public Involvement.

Dear Ggow24

Thank you for taking the time to post on Patient Opinion. I am sorry to read about your experience of Shawpark Resource Centre and how that has made you feel.

I will share your feedback with a senior member of our staff in Community Mental Health Services and ask that they provide an update on what you have raised here.

Best wishes
Lisa
