"Thanks for the support, understanding and help"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

After feeling unwell I contacted EPAS at the Ayrshire Maternity Unit. They arranged for me to come in for an early scan and unfortunately it wasn't good news, as it was a miscarriage. The midwives were fantastic and the unit itself is a wonderful service. We are so lucky to have this available to us.

We personally want to thank the staff for their support, understanding and help during a fairly traumatic time. We would have struggled without their guidance.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear AlBaHop,

Firstly, may I say how sorry I am really sorry, it is such a sad thing to happen and is difficult for anyone to cope with. It makes it so important that you got the care to help and support you at such a traumatic time. I will be very pleased to share this with the team, thank you for sharing this with us. I am sure it was difficult to write too.

Best wishes to you and I hope the future brings you a we bundle of joy.

Eunice
