I called Uplift in May 2016 asking for help with my mental health issues, I was given a telephone assessment & received a letter outlining my problems, I was told there was a wait of 4-5 months. I then received a letter on 2nd September 2016 from Uplift telling me they were aware of my situation & gave me some telephone numbers of organisations to help me while I waited for my appointment.
I got a phone call in early January 2017 to arrange to meet someone to help me & have been having weekly meeting & they have been fantastic, really helped me with problems.
My ONLY criticism is they did not keep me updated on the wait for my treatment, I thought many times they had forgotten about me, I feel a letter or phone call once a month would have helped me not feel forgotten.
