"A&E visit"

About: Torbay Hospital / Accident and emergency

Was rushed in with severe chest pains a week after surgery. Booked in within 5 mins and bloods taken, but that's when it went down hill.

Was put in a cubicle was told results will be back in a hour 2 and half hours later still not seen anybody not even a HCA to see if we were ok or if hubby wanted a drink.

Hubby went to ask what was happening told 4th in line will be an hour. So over and hour later nothing.

I spoke to nurse slightly annoyed I understand Friday night is busy but I came in with pains in chest was not asked once if I needed anything or how my pain was. Advised them I have epilepsy and need to get some sleep but difficult in the cubicle and if I were to stay in by the time I get to a ward it will be breakfast time. Was told I have been pushed further back and there are people who had been waiting over 4 hours. I hAve a 3 year old at home who at the time was being looked after my mum who is also ill..

Having to result in me self discharging still in pain.

I appreciate they may be busy but to check that I was ok, offer a drink. Very poor care I am affraid to say.
