"Husband treated twice in Bob Jakin ward"

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services / Older people's healthcare

My husband was admitted to Bob Jakin ward in early January and again last week. He has dementia and is prone to challenging behaviour. At a time of great stress for me and for his family, everyone at George Eliot, and in particular in Bob Jakin ward led by Dr Khanthe doctor and the excellent team, has behaved with the utmost kindness and professionalism. The NHS is, as we know, struggling with insufficient funding and staff shortages. The level of care my husband has had, in spite of these pressures, has been little short of astonishing. Neither I nor my family and friends will forget this.
