I had my son at jessops the care i recieved throughout ny pregnancy was good unfortunatly my care during labour was not. I had been in labour at home all day when i came to the hospital at middnight i got told by a rude midwife that i didnt look like i was in labour and that they dont understand why i was there and they would just send me home. When they checked me i was 8cm dialated and they were quick to back track and tell me how well i had done. They then proceded to panic and rush about trying to get me anti biotics for group b strep. Finally that was dealt with i was in alot of pain and eas given gas and air which made me really sick i was left with a midwife that to be honest was really ditzy my partner and myself was not happy with them at all. They told me to start pushing so for an hour i was pushing a different midwife came in to check they asked me if i needed to push which i didnt but had been told to push by the previous midwife. They then had a 'disagreement' in our room about why i had been pushing when i wasnt fully dialated or needing too. I put my trust in the midwifes expecting they knew what they were doing and they didnt seem to they whole situation was out of control. It all esculated and i ended up in theatre with forceps delivery. I felt totally out of control the whole time and 3 years on im still traumatised by the whole situation. Im now pregnant again and suffering terrible anxiety about going into labour at jessops even after my scans felt totally paniced eventhough it was just a routine scan. Im 18 weeks in and this pregnancy has been more compicated with cvs test and 4 weeks of on off bleeding but the early pregnancy unit havent been very helpful unfortunatly some staff are ok but most part i just get we dont know and still have not been scanned since my last bleed due to no sonographers. When i try to discuss my concerns i dont feel reasured. Over all my care at jessops in perticular im not happy with. The cummunity midwifes are brilliant i cant fault them.
