"The team were very quick to respond and worked amazing together"

About: Victoria Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I attended the consultant led maternity unit to be induced. I ended up in theatre for an epidural and forceps delivery, which I was most scared of having. However the staff on duty in the ward and in theatre were fantastic, very reassuring and kept me calm. I had some complications back in the ward, the team were very quick to respond and worked amazing together to help me. They communicated very well with my family and I throughout to let us know what was happening.

I was delighted to hear that the staff on duty were re assuring which helped to keep you calm and that staff were efficient in dealing with your complications. We know that communication is such an important aspect of care and it was good to hear that you and your family were kept well informed throughout the process. I will make sure the team get to see your post which will be much appreciated.
