"My Mother was admitted to Hollins ..."

About: Hollins Park

What I liked

My Mother was admitted to Hollins Park around five weeks ago after a difficult time in Warrington General hospital ...in the first instance she was concerned to say the least at the prospect of being admitted to Hollins Park as the name held a certain stigma .....we could have not been more wrong, what we experianced was the NHS at its best my mother recieved care of the highest order, consideration and patience from all staff. My mother quickly felt at home which undoubtly aided her recovery...I learnt a lot I saw when visiting care for quite difficult cases that needs but I suppose rarely recieves praise.....well done.

What could be improved

Work could be done in improving the Branding of the unit !

Thank you for taking the time to make this posting. I've just seen it as its been forwarded to the Patient Opinion website.

I agree that stigma is a major factor in mental health services. We are running an anti-stigma campaign and have a petition with over 50 000 signitures. Please call me on 01925 664450 or look at our web site www.5bououghspartnership.nhs.uk for more information.
