I came in early in the morning and after two hours having gone through forms, the signing of forms and a thorough chat with absolutely everything I should wish to know and expect for the procedure... A porcelain total hip.
I had been given cleansing wipes, to use the night before and on the morning of my op. I presume to ward against infections Plus 6 small bottles. 4 to be taken the night before and 2 early the next morning before arriving. I am not sure what they were for but trusted the medical staff to do what was requested.
What an amazing experience this has been.
One hears so many people running our NHS down. We are so incredibly fortunate to have hospitals, such as this one, run with such perfection, and care. Congratulations and heartfelt thanks to every one of you. , for looking after me so brilliantly.
