"I have a sense of achievement when I see doctors and staff that I have interviewed"

About: St Andrew's Healthcare Men's Pathway

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I was doing a training course and was referred to the Patient Experience Team where I began interviewing for staff and talking about my experience at the staff inductions sessions. I also told my story to medical students who were on placement at St Andrew's. I loved doing this because it is different from other activities and it improves my confidence. It has given me a sense of achievement when I see the doctors and staff that I have interviewed. It has really made a difference to me and given me a sense of purpose. I think my contribution is making a positive change for patients and staff and it has helped my recovery.

Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. I am delighted that you feel very much part of the process of recruitment and can see the end goal in place. I have been involved in many interviews and always find that you guys have a fantastic insight into what really matters to you. That's the most crucial part for us.

Please do continue to assist us in this process - it is very much appreciated and I am glad you get so much out of it.

Lynn
