"Communication problems with hospital"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital / Urology

My husband had a vasectomy 3 weeks ago at Stamford House in Ashton. Hes since been in alot of pain. Went back to his GP at Manor House Surgery where they prescribed anti biotics. They didnt clear the infection up. So went back to GP friday just gone, who rang Stepping Hill in front of my husband and they advised him to go to their urology department yesterday and that the department would ring him with a time. Yesterday came and no phone call. I rang them myself and they said they had no referral off the doc and no scan was booked. So today we rang 111 who got an out of hours GP to phone and they booked an appointment at the put of hours surgery for him round the corner from us in Glossop. My husband went and they advised him to go to a & e at Stepping Hill. This is where he has gone now to get seen to. I have had to phone in sick because of him not going to this appointment yesterday that was supposed to be there. His GP has been fab. Just the hospital has been a let down. Everyone slates Tameside Hospital. Yet I have never had any issues with them. This time Stepping Hill has caused us issues.
