(as the patient),

The waiting area was VERY untidy with coffee cups and litter on the floor, but this was quickly addressed when pointed out to a nurse.

NB: My OVERALL experience in Emergency Dept was very positive

Dear mrs klopf

We pride ourselves on high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital and I am disappointed that this was your experience. We do have Housekeeping staff working in ED 24 hours a day who carry out regular checks throughout the department to ensure those standards are maintained. As you may have experienced, the waiting room can get very busy and in a short while become untidy with litter and cups not placed in waste bins.However I am glad that we responded quickly in the way that I would expect from the team and that the rest of your experience was positive.
