Dear Luci888

Thank you for taking the time to post on Patient Opinion. I am sorry to read about what you experienced in our Emergency Department in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital this is not how we aim to provide care to our patients. I would urge you to contact your doctor if you are still unwell.

I will share your feedback with the General Manager of the service and ask them to provide some feedback to what you have raised here on Patient Opinion.

Best wishes
Lisa

Update posted by Luci888 (the patient)

yes I went to the doctor and good job I did I had a very bad inner ear infection and also a viral infection thanks for the response Lisa, im glad hopefully management will possibly change the system around or do something to combat the room as I have come to know.

It seems like your put in that room and forgotten about there was a few people in front of me and they had been waiting that long they were actually falling asleep in the room as far as im concerned that's irresponsible and quite clearly dangerous considering before I went into this room I only had temp heart trace and blood pressure and blood sugar levels taken if it was a more serious injury with the waiting times that I have been told about could be potentially life threatening.

ive spoken to a few other people who have had a 6 to 8 hour wait and that's just not good enough I understand and appreciate staff are stretched but when patients care is being affected something needs doing just a wee note but the room is tiny and very very warm so I was getting quite agitated as well due to the warmth and waiting around hence leaving as I wouldn't want to take my frustrations out on the staff as I know there very hard working
