About: Learning Disability and Autistic Spectrum Disorder Secure (Nottingham) / Newstead

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I am on Newstead but I have had enough of it. It's boring and I'm not really doing anything. I do like doing gardening and I did build a river and a pond. I used a shovel and spade to dig it out and I really enjoyed that. I am getting better but the staff are not really giving me any feedback. I want to go back to Ireland and would like to live in supported accommodation. I can talk to the staff sometimes, but I would not recommend this hospital.

It is great to hear about the pond you made in the garden. I will speak to your clinical team and ensure they are giving you feedback in your care programme update meeting and in your weekly care coordinator sessions. I am sorry you don't feel happy but hopefully when you feel more included in your treatment it will get better.
