I was admitted six weeks ago after first having a blood test in A&E and have nothing but praise for this hospital. Yes I was in four wards on my four day stay as there was no bed in haematology until my last day.
I don't however regard this a negative thing and being realistic your not always going to get on to the correct ward on admittance.
What's more important I think is the level of care that I received on my travels around the hospital.
I still saw my consultant every day and staff in all the wards I stayed in were superb. On one occasion I watched them dealing with a difficult patient. Must have been very frustrating for them but they handled it with all due care and respect for the person.
Also the staff who served the meals were very helpful. As I moved around I didn't always get my chosen dinner but I was always given extra bits to eat. I liked the food as well!
I am very impressed with this hospital and now as an outpatient l am still receiving the same high level of care.
"RBH what a fab hospital!"
