"Long waiting list for Urgent referral to breast clinic"

So 6 weeks ago I went to see my Doctor about a little lump on my armpit, she assured me it was just a cyst and nothing to worry about..brilliant! !

Then she asked if she could do a breast examination as I'd never had one, no problem. It took a while and she kept going back to one spot. She was concerned about differences in my breasts and some lumps in my right one. She referred me urgently, appointed expected within 2 weeks, obviously I was worried and anxious. I heard nothing in 2 weeks so phoned the breast clinic and got told the the consultant had downgraded me from a Urgent referral, suspected cancer to just an Urgent referral and I'm now on a waiting list and should receive an appointment within 6 weeks. ! ! ! ! I've waited the 6 weeks with hardly any sleep and still heard nothing. I phoned the hospital again and been told I've been moved down the list and could be another 6 weeks. ! ! ! ! ! I have asked to be put on the cancellation list and they don't have one! ! I can't afford to go private.
