"Helpful service and empathetic staff"

About: Six Degrees IAPT

(as a service user),

I have just finished several months of therapy though 6 degrees which I have found to be very helpful, very supportive and caring. The counsellor I saw was genuinely empathetic and has helped me enormously.

I just have one suggestion for your consideration: if I have a 10: 00 am appointment it’s just not very helpful to have a reminder text at 8: 00 am in the morning. It would be better to have a reminder at least 3 days before so that I, and others in the same boat, can make arrangements to attend on time. I’m sure this would result in fewer appointments being missed by patients, making it a more useful service for both 6 degrees and their patients.

Name248, many thanks for taking the time to provide us with your opinion. We are pleased to hear you found your sessions with Six Degrees helpful and supportive.

Thank you for your suggestion re: SMS reminders being sent earlier. Our SMS reminders are sent via an automated system that would usually send out reminders 2-3 days prior to the appointment. It appears this hasn't happened in your case, apologies for this and thank you for raising this issue. I shall take this to a team meeting for discussion.

If you wish to discuss further please don't hesitate to contact myself on 0161 2124981 to discuss further.
