I suffered with subglottis stenosis, so found myself on ward 5, the staff were caring, but didn't have time to spend with patients when they were anxious, and ent doctors and thoracic doctors, didn't really get my care totally sorted, they had me nil by mouth and then cancelled surgery at 21.00hrs, not once did a doctor speak to me, it was left to the nursing staff, so not happy with doctors, anxiety levels made me feel worse, when I should have been feeling calm, I eventually had treatment after one week, now at home, with no clinic appt or follow ups as yet, and the doctors have told me my condition will recur, so I'm now anxious at home, I'm sure everything will get sorted, but communication needs to improve between patient and doctor
