"My son's fractured arm"

About: Adamson Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit Adamson Hospital / Orthopaedics

(as a parent/guardian),

After injuring himself at gymnastics, my 10 year old son was seen, x rayed, arm put in a cast, offered a follow up appointment the following day to check the cast was comfortable, assessed via the virtual fracture clinic, x rayed again, seen by the orthopaedic surgeon, and had the cast removed. All within walking distance of our house, and all with kindness, humour, and no rush. I don't think I could have paid for better care.

Dear HC456

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your son's recent hospital experience. I was sorry to hear of his injury and do hope he is now recovering well. What you describe is a professional and efficient service which is great to hear. I will be delighted to forward your comments on to the team directly involved and also to the Management Team. Positive feedback really boosts staff morale, so your time in providing this is very much appreciated.

Regards

Louise Ewing
