"Home Tests"

About: Lothian Community Services

(as the patient),

I had an STD check at my local clinic on Chalmers Street in Edinburgh around April. They called me and informed me I had been infected with chlamydia and they text me something that I was to show my nearest pharmacy and receive the treatment. They called after about two weeks might I add and it should be one. I went to the Royal Mile Pharmacy with my text and they gave me a singular pill - I was sure it is usually four but I trusted the experts as you would this being new territory for me. I took the pill at the pharmacy as the pharmacist asked and that was that.

In July I started to itch and had odd bleeding again - I soon received my period and put it down to that. In August I had a urine infection and so symptoms I placed down to that.

Now in October after being to the doctors numerous times for random bleeding all the time I have discovered that I still have the STD. I have not had sex between this and I have these symptoms from July (random bleeding). I had done a NHS home test towards the end of May because I was paranoid and I also had just met my current boyfriend. I called two days after first sleeping with him and I was given the all clear!

I am extremely upset because this could now have affected me for in the future and also caused problems at home with my boyfriend as you can imagine.

I would like somebody to get back in touch with me asap and I plan to speak to Chalmers Street also.
